Gary Lee Smith has over 50 years experience in business management for both small and large companies. He has a vast background with many strengths that includes due diligence processes, business evaluations, and “hands-on” operational experience. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for turning around underperforming store chains. Gary has owned and operated a successful equipment and party rental business, which he recently sold through Ocala Business Brokers, Inc. With his knowledge in accounting, marketing, and “firsthand” operating experience, Gary Smith brings value to both buyers and sellers as he has been on both sides of the transaction. He is an asset to Ocala Business Brokers, Inc. and a valuable member of the team.
In addition to Gary’s career, he is highly respected in the community. He served as an ambassador for the Ocala Chamber and Economic Development Partners and 8 years as a Marion County Zoning Commissioner in which three of them as their Chairperson. Gary was awarded recognition for the many years he served on Ocala’s Annual Christmas Parade committee. He is married to Darla Smith in which they have four children, eleven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
